TEW Group, the electrical-engineering specialist based in Nottingham, is to take on more staff after winning contracts worth £10 million in just three months.
The company, which makes control displays and automation systems for a number of sectors (including automotive and nuclear), is on course for a £20 million turnover this year, and it expects to double in size over the next five years.
TEW, which is celebrating its centenary this year, is currently looking for eight new engineers and machine operators to join its 80-strong team, but managing director Michael Spencer (pictured) said that a further 40 people may be required. “The £10 million worth of sales that we have already secured represents a sizeable part of this year’s budget.
Furthermore, we have invested over £250,000 in our design, manufacturing and customer-facing areas to provide both the environment and the capacity to achieve our growth targets.”
