Dewald Schärftechnik is a sharpener of carbide-tipped circular-saw and bandsaw blades with grinding machines from Vollmer (
www.vollmer-group.com).
Founded in 1970 by Hans Dewald, the company was taken over 12 years ago by husband-and-wife team Adelheid and Gerd Liable.
Dewald’s customers come from all areas where carbide-tipped circular saws and bandsaws are used; these include private individuals, carpentry workshops, furniture makers and large companies in the metals- and plastics-processing sectors — and the automotive industry.
In its workshop, Dewald has six Vollmer machines; the latest of these is a CL 200 that is used for the complete machining of the faces and tops of carbide-tipped circular saws.
The company also uses CHD250 R2, CX100 and CHP250 CNC sharpening machines. With this selection, it can re-sharpen circular saw blades with various tooth geometries, as well as produce small customised tools.
