The Benz LinA range of broaching units for CNC lathes and machining centres is now available from Cleckheaton-based Cutwel Ltd (
www.cutwel.co.uk). The broaching units, which are both simple and highly effective, work as driven-tooling units and can be used on most machining centres and CNC lathes with a live tooling capability.
The main benefits of the Benz LinA are the efficiency of one-hit machining (along with reduced bottle necks in production) and the ability to machine different profiles economically.
Numerous types of applications can be undertaken, including machining Torx drives, splines, gears, keyways, hexagons and sprockets.
Benz also supplies an individual broaching tool that can be adapted to most CNC machining centres.
Moreover, neither tool requires any Z-axis programming, thereby reducing machine tool loads, preventing machine tool wear and preserving machine tool bearings. Furthermore, no special programming is required.
