Redditch-based AE Oscroft & Sons (AEO) (

co.uk) is celebrating its 70th anniversary as a family-run business.
Since Arthur Edgar Oscroft founded the company in 1947, it has grown from a small pressings business — run from a workshop at the back of his home — to one providing a total manufacturing solution, from concept through tool design to production in a variety of industry sectors.
The business is now being run by third-generation family members Chris and Tim Oscroft.
It has invested heavily over the past five years in both new premises and machinery, including CNC milling machines and a wire eroder for its tool-room.
The latest arrival is an Aida press line that has enabled the firm to diversify into products with higher-strength alloys and more-complex components.
Managing director Chris Oscroft said: “Reaching our 70th anniversary is a huge accomplishment — and one we are very proud of.
"We recognise that this milestone is not due to not only the expertise and dedication of our staff but also the relationships we have built with our customers over the years.
"It is also testament to our continued investment in the company, and we look forward to many more years in business.”
