Grupo Antolin (
www.grupoantolin.com) — a Tier One supplier of interior trim systems and components to major automotive OEMs — is planning a major expansion at its facility in Barton, creating 150 new jobs.
The Spanish-owned firm currently occupies 70,000ft
2 at Barton Business Park; it has signed a 15-year lease with St Modwen to expand its operations into a new 113,000ft
2 unit on an adjacent plot.
Robin Hills, general manager at Grupo Antolin, said: “Since we relocated from Bristol in 2006, the Barton facility has been awarded new and replacement business over a number of vehicle programmes, and it has reached its full manufacturing capacity.”
Ian Romano, development director at St Modwen, said: “Grupo Antolin has been at Barton Business Park for 10 years, and its expansion here reinforces the strength of the automotive industry in the Midlands, which is a key market for us.
“We have worked with Grupo Antolin to create a facility to suit its needs for the foreseeable future.”
