Record-breaking first-half for DMG MoriDMG Mori AG has achieved the best first-half-year results in the company’s history, with order intake, sales revenues, earnings and free cash-flow recording double-digit rates of growth.

Order intake rose by 14% to 1,577.1 million euros, sales revenues increased by 10% to 1,215.1 million euros, and EBIT was up 230% at 93.0 million euros.

Free cash-flow improved by 90.9 million euros to 67.2 million euros.

DMG Mori chairman Christian Thönes (www.ag.dmgmori.com) said: “The company continues to develop positively — technologically, structurally and culturally.

“We continue our profitable growth and consistently strengthen our integrated automation and digitisation solutions.”

Order intake in the second quarter rose to 755.3 million euros — up 9% on the second quarter of 2017 and marking the third consecutive quarter in which orders passed the 700 million euro mark.

Sales revenues in the second quarter rose to 633.3 million euros — up 10% on the second quarter of 2017. The export share was 68% (compared with 69% last year).

On 30 June, the order backlog amounted to 1,658.5 million euros (it was 1,309.1 million euros at the end of 2017).

The company says the high order backlog and the very high capacity utilisation at its production plants are currently causing longer delivery times.
