Hoffmann officially opens new UK subsidiary Munich-based Hoffmann Group (www.hoffmann-group.com ) — a supplier of tooling, workstations, storage solutions and personal protective equipment — officially opened its new UK subsidiary — Hoffmann UK Quality Tools Ltd — in Birmingham on 1 August in the presence of the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councillor Mohammed Azim.

The parent company, which is currently celebrating its centenary year, works in partnership with its customers, “adding value by offering a comprehensive consulting service on all its products”.

Through the new subsidiary, it will be able to focus more closely on the needs of the UK market.

Martin Reichenecker, Hoffmann Group sales and marketing director, said: “The UK is one of the largest economies in Europe, and it has been a very important market for us for a long time.

“We have lots of customers in Great Britain and we believe that we can be even more successful here, if we are closer to our customers and the market.”

The company has appointed Tim Paddison as managing director of Hoffmann UK; he will head a 29-strong team at the Gee Business Centre in Holborn Hill, ready to support UK-based customers, whether they have a technical query regarding tooling, want to know how to set up an ergonomic workplace, or need advice on personal protective equipment.

Mr Paddison said: “I’m convinced that the Hoffmann Group will grow continuously and profitably, despite the challenging market conditions in the UK.

"The company already has established relationships in the UK, with a focus on quality and service; this is what
our customers appreciate and what we intend to further strengthen.

"With the new subsidiary open for business, we now have a great opportunity to grow our market share in the UK aerospace, automotive and general manufacturing sectors.”
