Prima Power, the Italian manufacturer of 2-D and 3-D laser cutting systems — as well as machines and automatic manufacturing lines for sheet-metal processing — has extended its software with the Fastsuite Prima Power Edition.
This was developed by the IT consulting and software company Cenit AG, with which Prima Power has a long-standing partnership relating to solutions for 3-D systems.
Since automation and robotics are becoming increasingly important, Prima Power has decided to offer the new software edition itself.
3-D laser product manager Marco Pivanti said: “With Fastsuite Prima Power Edition, our machines can show their full range of capabilities.
It enables our customers to set up their production processes as quickly and efficiently as possible, because the software is tailored to their requirements.”
The software supports the entire offline programming process. From importing CAD files to optimising the NC program and undertaking simulation, all processes are adapted to the laser cutting processes on Prima machines.
Users benefit from a modern easy-to-use user interface, an integrated cycle time simulator and simple licence management.
Furthermore, the software features a very flexible fixture builder for automated definition of prototype fixtures as well as series fixtures with integrated clamps.
