Somerset-based Rotamec (
www.rotamec.com) has opened a new facility in Pontypool to provide 24/7 maintenance and repair support to electro-mechanical engineering companies in South Wales.
Managing director Simon Brooks said: “Expanding our presence in South Wales was a logical step for Rotamec.
“We pride ourselves on offering a fast response to emergency breakdowns and completing projects to exacting deadlines, so moving to a larger facility in close proximity to our customers makes sense.
“It enables a faster response and reduced lead times, which has always been a cornerstone of our services.”
Customers will benefit from Rotamec’s expertise in rotating equipment, motor repairs, parts sourcing, gearbox repairs, machining and on-site services.
The Pontypool facility will also act as a gateway to additional services, including machining and pump testing at other Rotamec UK service centres.
This allows customers to order machined or repaired components quickly (compared to the extended lead times associated with OEM spares).
Mr Brooks concluded: “Over the next few months, we’ll be expanding our on-site services teams to further optimise response times, along with hiring new apprentices.
