A leader in premium high-precision tooling systems and solutions, BIG Kaiser has now significantly expanded its range of turning tools with multiple new tool-holder dimensions and extensive new lines of indexable inserts.
This tooling is available in the UK from Tamworth-based
Industrial Tooling Corporation Ltd (ITC). In response to customer feedback, BIG Kaiser has added new C4 and C8 size extensions, a Type F turning tool-holder and a range of indexable turning inserts.
The company has also introduced its new ‘Lathe Master’ for the straightforward setting up of cutting-edge position, to eliminate the need for trial cuts.
This features an LED that indicates when the tip of the tool touches and can be used for external-, internal- and face-turning applications. It is available in both 15 and 30mm-diameter configurations and offers a repeatability level of ±2μm.
Another addition to the BIG Kaiser product line is a new Weldon adapter. The company has also expanded its family of BIG Capto tool holders with a new C4 size being added to the range; it says this size is becoming increasingly popular as a quick-change tooling system for lathes and turning centres with a turret tooling configuration.
The BIG Capto C4, which is offered for both rotating tool-holders and turning tools for lathes, complements the BIG Kaiser MEGA chuck rotating tool programme.
