Seco Assistant, a new app from tooling company
Seco Tools, has been configured to put the product information and tools machinists need ‘at their fingertips’ without the need for internet searches or catalogue research — even when working offline.
The company says: “Seco Assistant’s machining calculator gives users turning, milling and hole-making data for any brand and includes feeds, speeds and material removal rates.
The ‘Tool Comparison’ function gives Seco tool recommendations and alternatives to other manufacturers’ inserts, while the ‘Suggest’ function helps the user find the right tooling option and cutting strategies for specific jobs.
“Moreover, products can be searched by item, number, designation or grade — or by simply scanning the code on the packaging. The app has been developed for maximum convenience and ease of use, with a small download size and a clean, clear interface.
