GF to exhibit at Medical Technology Ireland ExpoGF Machining Solutions is exhibiting at this week’s Medical Technology Ireland Expo and Conference being held 20-21 October 2021 at Galway Racecourse, Galway Technology Park, Ireland.

The event will provide an opportunity for GF Machining Solutions to promote, and showcase, its range of advanced and innovative technology solutions to the Irish market.

Martin Spencer, GF Machining Solutions UK managing director, said: “Ireland is one of Europe’s largest medical technology hotspots. It is a globally recognised centre of excellence and is home to over 300 MedTech companies. Many of these companies are already our customers.

“With over 20,000 people expected to visit the event over the two days, it is clear why we wanted to have a presence at the show.”

These are challenging times for the medical manufacturing industry. On the one hand the pressure to make parts faster, maintain or even reduce costs and adhere to rigidly regulated processes where traceability is of paramount importance, have never been greater.

On the other hand, component manufacturers operating in the sector are being asked to produce increasingly specialised high-precision, complex and often micro parts, from difficult-to-machine materials.

It is a tough ask, and without having access to the latest innovative machining and manufacturing technologies, can be impossible to achieve.

Mr Spencer said: “That is where we come in. Our milling, EDM, Additive Manufacturing (AM) and laser technologies combined with our extensive experience, expertise and know-how help manufacturers address increasing product complexity, the growing demand for highly personalised products and solutions, and the need to eliminate error and waste.”
