Having established a ‘sound reputation’ for Rondcom profile-measuring instruments, Coventry-based
Accretech UK Ltd has announced the launch of the company’s Rondcom NEX series. These instruments now feature an axis speed potentiometer and the company’s Auto Force Detector, which are designed to make all measuring routines considerably more efficient. Concentricity and straightness figures are (0.02+3.2H/10,000)µm and 0.15µm (Z300) respectively, due to the use of air-bearing-based rotary tables.
The Rondcom NEX series feature a modular design that enables the high-precision measurement of form, diameter and surface simultaneously. The modular nature of the new form-measuring instruments means that they are available in a wide range of variants, ensuring that customers can specify a system that will be configured exactly to their individual requirements.
Furthermore, this ‘building-block’ approach means that Rondcom NEX series instruments remain future proof, as new modules can be easily retrofitted to suit ‘all developing needs’.
Similarly, new Accretech instruments can be purchased as manual systems then later converted to CNC versions if a higher degree of automation is required. CNC add-ons include positioning tables with several asymmetrical measuring positions to accommodate complex workpieces; also, a pallet-clamping capability for components being inspected in large batch sizes.
Marcus Czabon, Accretech’s COO, said: “The new universal form testers of the Rondcom NEX series can be used to measure many different applications and workpieces, and a wide range of required parameters — in one clamping. In contrast to stand-alone instruments, customers no longer need to compromise on accuracy when measuring form, diameter and surface parameters.
“We have fundamentally redesigned the entire series of form-measuring instruments to ensure that our customers receive even greater support in terms of efficiency, time savings and automation.”
