MACH MT announces ‘Make Things Different’ Open HouseDave Andrew, Vigilance Group CEO

Bristol-based MACH Machine Tools Ltd (MACH MT), part of the Vigilance Group, and a leading CNC and manual machine tool and machine shop and toolroom equipment supplier to UK and Irish manufacturers, will be holding an Open House on 5-6 October.

Dave Andrew, Vigilance Group CEO, said: “We live in turbulent times and to remain competitive manufacturers need to be proactive, agile and open to new ideas, which may involve adopting different methods and practices.

“Our MACH MT ‘Make Things Different’ Open House is designed to help manufacturers, as well as educational institutions, to navigate the challenges that lie ahead by giving them the opportunity to see our high-performance, value-added and reliable machine tools in action. We will demonstrate how they can help optimise their processes and make precision parts faster, better and more economically than ever before.”

Matt Andrew, MACH MT director, added: “Many of the machines on display will feature the advanced and innovative Dynapath WinDelta control system that is now supplied, as standard, on our best-in-class toolroom mills and lathes, and on our high-speed machining centre series. The easy-to-use touchscreen control is flexible for manual, semi-automatic and full production operations and facilitates both conversational and ISO/G programming.”

Dynapath-controlled machines

Among the many Dynapath-controlled machines on display will be a MACH MDHS - 65S. This high-speed vertical machining centre is a new addition to the line up and is designed for the fast processing of high-precision components, mould tools and copper electrodes.

Also featured will be a MACH MDS 8T-845 ‘spider’ milling machine that has been designed and built as a competitively-priced alternative to a compact vertical machining centre or a more typical toolroom mill. The fully enclosed machine has a uniquely-configured eight-tool position automatic tool changer (ATC) that enables fast and trouble-free tool changeovers.

The MACH MDM 1000 CNC bed mill is the largest model in the bed mill range. The machine has a thermally-stable double-column bridge structure, a powerful built-in spindle, a servo-driven ATC, a large worktable and a 12in colour touchscreen. It is being showcased with an integrated 4th-axis unit and is the only machine of its kind and class to feature full 4th and 3-D capabilities.

Meanwhile, the innovative MACH MDS 4T-900 which is the world’s first UKCA/CE-compliant CNC/manual knee mill driven by a three-axis (four-axis option available) Dynapath control with Yaskawa drives. It also boasts integrated four-tool position ATC, located around the machine’s spindle, that increase the machine’s performance, productivity and appeal.

Also on display will be the ever-popular and renowned MACH VS-1 turret-type milling machine which has recently been re-engineered to create two new next-generation Super Precision models — the MACH VS-1 SP and the MACH VS-2 SP. Both machines represent outstanding value and deliver high accuracy, speed and reliability.
