A fast-growing aerospace and defence conglomerate headquartered in Stockport, is making waves with its forward-thinking approach to investment, ushering in a new era of growth and innovation. The group's recent strategic moves over the last 12 months highlight a considerable multi-million pound programme of investment in new cutting-edge technology and acquisition,demonstrating the Group‘S commitment to not only meeting but surpass the expectations of its world-class clientele. Now with nine manufacturing locations, seven of which are in the UK, Aero Services Group (ASG Group) has introduced a culture of investment and growth amidst a flat-lining economy which is securing a long-term future for its 450 staff.

The most recent development has seen Shipley-based Produmax Ltd join the Group as the ninth ASG location; this partnership ‘signifies a strategic alliance that transcends traditional boundaries’, leveraging the strengths of both entities. By combining expertise and resources, ASG Group and Produmax are ‘set to redefine the landscape of aerospace manufacturing in the UK, paving the way for cutting-edge solutions and collaborative success’.

Produmax managing director Jeremy Ridyard said on joining the group: “ASG Group’s value of engineering excellence align perfectly with ours, and together, we are well equipped to take on new opportunities. Our goal together, is to drive this business to in excess of £20 million over the next five years.”

Exciting phase of growth

Meanwhile, Wirral-based ASG AMF Engineering is set to witness an exciting phase of growth with the announcement of a new factory and the integration of advanced automation and machinery totalling £1 million. The ‘state of the art’ facility and automation processes are poised to enhance operational efficiency, positioning ASG AMF Engineering as a key player in shaping the future of semi-conductor and scientific equipment industries.

Meanwhile, across the Mersey, ASG King & Fowler in Liverpool have made a considerable £1.35 million investment in a revolutionary TSA line to keep ahead of the REACH legislation forecasted to impact the aerospace industry — a testament to the Group’s visionary outlook in support of its customer Airbus.

Gareth Richards, managing director at ASG King & Fowler is excited by this new capability to be installed on-site early next year. He said: "We are dedicated to not only meeting but exceeding industry expectations. This substantial investment in our new TSA line underscores our commitment to environmental responsibility, as well as our focus on enhancing productivity and efficiency.”

Over in Coventry on Bayton Road, precision and quality are at the forefront of ASG Arrowsmith Engineering’s strategy, evident in the multi-million pound investment in industry-leading metrology, machining and automation equipment. This commitment to accuracy and excellence solidifies ASG Arrowsmith’s position as a reliable partner for aerospace and defence customers and underpins the firm’s continued recognition in the SC21 supply chain programme, achieving a Silver Award in 2023.
