TW Ward CNC Machinery Ltd says the company is set to make ‘a big impact at
Southern Manufacturing and Electronics 2025 (Stand J260) which takes place 4-6 February in Farnborough. The company will be presenting advanced turning solutions and visitors to the stand will see a live demonstration of a Takisawa TM-3000Y2 Y-axis CNC Lathe with twin spindles and twin turrets.
This high-performance multi-tasking lathe offers: a turning length and diameter of 620 and 215mm respectively; a 65mm bar capacity; 8in and 6in chucks for the main spindle and sub-spindle (these offer speeds of 4,500 and 5,000rev/min respectively); Y-axis travels of ±45mm for the upper and lower high-accuracy servo turrets, which both offers a 6,000rev/min live tooling speed; and a Fanuc 0iTF Plus CNC system.
Ward CNC’s applications team will demonstrate the lathe’s full capabilities, highlighting its potential for complex, high-volume tasks that include balanced turning, pinch milling, and dual turret operation.
Building on its 140-plus years, Ward CNC will also unveil a new brand at the show. This will complement the company’s existing line-up, which includes: Hyundai-Wia (horizontal and vertical CNC lathes and machining centres); Hartford (horizontal and vertical machining centres); Soraluce (milling, boring and multi-tasking machines); Takisawa Japan (horizontal CNC lathes with gantry loaders); Takisawa Taiwan (horizontal and vertical CNC lathes); Hankook (horizontal CNC Lathes and vertical boring/turning machines); and Gurutzpe (heavy-duty CNC horizontal lathes).
Ward CNC also has a used machinery division, along with a comprehensive after-sales and support offering. The latter includes: expert machine installation; a preventative maintenance and breakdown service; technical assistance; rapid spare parts delivery; and tailored applications training that covers leading CNC systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, and Hartford’s own Hartrol control.
