Yorkshire-based
IntelliAM has announced a significant expansion of its commercial partnership with
Hovis Ltd, marking a major step forward in the bakery brand’s digital transformation journey. The new agreement, which represents a ninefold increase on the original contract, will see IntelliAM’s AI-powered platform deployed across multiple Hovis manufacturing sites.
The expanded scope includes full integration of IntelliAM’s smart sensor interfaces across production lines, alongside ongoing consultancy services aimed at delivering measurable improvements in reliability, productivity, and asset availability. The anticipated gains are expected to deliver full return on investment within the first year, accelerating Hovis’s move towards AI-driven, proactive manufacturing.
The partnership builds on an initial contract signed in September 2024, under which IntelliAM provided reliability consultancy services across three key Hovis sites. That project delivered gap analyses, criticality assessments, and tailored maintenance strategies that enabled targeted, data-driven improvements to production reliability.
Chris Bradley, chief operations officer at Hovis Ltd, said: “We are pleased to be making this next step investment in IntelliAM’s services and AI platform, following a detailed analysis of the outcomes from our initial engagement.”
IntelliAM CEO Tom Clayton said: “This expanded contract represents a significant milestone for us, validating the commercial value of our AI-driven solutions. We are proud to be deepening our relationship with Hovis and to be helping them lead the way in transforming UK manufacturing productivity.”
The announcement follows IntelliAM’s
Connected Performance Summit, co-hosted with
SKF at the Cutlers’ Hall in Sheffield. The event brought together over 150 senior decision-makers from leading food and drink brands including Hovis, Mars, PepsiCo, and Diageo, to explore how connected technologies and AI-driven maintenance are reshaping modern manufacturing.
Founded in 2023 and listed on Aquis, IntelliAM is built on the technical foundations of Sheffield-based 53 Degrees North. The company now works with a quarter of the world’s top 100 FMCGs and 50% of the top 12 food and beverage manufacturers.
