Yamazaki Mazak enjoyed a strong showing at the recent
EMO Hannover 2025, with high levels of customer interest in its latest manufacturing technologies. The company’s focus on ‘empowering innovation’ — delivered through new product launches, automation, digital integration and smart production solutions—resulted in robust enquiries, particularly from the sub-contracting sector.
Mazak’s commitment to its global manufacturing strategy was evident throughout the stand, with machines on display from its international network of factories in the European Union, Japan, Singapore, India and China. This approach underscored the company’s ability to provide responsive, localised solutions while maintaining the high standards its customers expect.
Among the 20 machines exhibited, visitors were especially drawn to entry-level and productivity-enhancing models. The next generation of the UK-designed and manufactured CV5 five-axis machining centre series proved particularly popular, reinforcing Mazak’s reputation for delivering accessible high-performance solutions.
EMO also saw the debut of the Integrex j-200S NEO — the first Integrex multi-tasking machining centre to be manufactured outside Japan. Now produced at Mazak’s European Manufacturing Plant in Worcester, the j-200S NEO represents a significant step in shortening lead times for advanced machining technology in the European market.
Further expanding its portfolio, Mazak introduced the VC-Ez IP range, a new series of 40-taper vertical machining centres. Designed for high-volume manufacturing, these machines combine class-leading spindle technology, rapid speeds and intuitive controls to deliver fast returns on investment.
Automation was another key theme, with 12 different solutions featured on the stand. Making its European debut was the Ez Loader 125i, integrated with an Integrex i-450H multi-tasking machine. This is the first in the Ez Loader series to incorporate a fully integrated industrial robot, allowing the entire cell to be controlled via the machine controller and removing the need for separate robot programming training.
Mazak also showcased installations tailored to specific industrial applications. The FF-400V/30L vertical machining centre was live-cutting components for the electric vehicle (EV) market, while a Integrex i-350 NEO AG — part of the new Integrex i-NEO multi-tasking range — demonstrated specialist gear-cutting capabilities aimed at boosting productivity and reducing emissions.
At the heart of the stand was the all-new Mazak Solutions Centre, a hub for innovation that highlighted the company’s latest advancements in connectivity, digitalisation and Mazatrol Smooth CNC. Among the technologies on display was Mazatrol DX, a digital tool that enables manufacturers to generate quotes within minutes based on machining time and cost per part, while also helping to optimise cycle times and reduce raw material waste.
Richard Smith, European group managing director at Yamazaki Mazak, said: “
EMO 2025 proved to be a highly successful show for Yamazaki Mazak. While we recorded strong enquiries, this year saw the stand feature our dedicated Solutions Centre for the first time and it was great to be able to spend time talking to customers, listening to their challenges and working with them on finding a solution.”
He concluded: “Ultimately, EMO 2025 reinforced the need for suppliers to come to the market with accessible turnkey solutions that empower customers and deliver immediate impact on productivity and profitability. Our strategy has always been to help customers become more productive, resilient and competitive, and our success at this year’s exhibition more than vindicates our approach.”
