The CMZ TA and TD series of single turret lathes are powerful, robust and reliable lathes with multiple configuration options and come with a prismatic bed designed for machining medium and large-size workpieces. Thanks to a turret with oil-cooled integrated motors and hydraulic locking, 12,000rev/min can be attained in continuous duty (S1). The turret with integrated motor can holid discs with 12, 16 and up to 20 positions. Effective tool-change times of 0.2sec can also be achieved and headstocks do not require belts or pulleys.
Meanwhile, TTS and TTL multi-turret lathes are designed for machining complex longer parts. Every second counts, which is why these machines are ideal for companies working with high production volumes, tight lead times and extremely high levels of precision. They also have no belts and feature oil-cooled built-in motors. In addition, movements on the X3 and Z3 axes enable unique capabilities. For example, they can be fitted with a tailstock (optional) or can work with three tools simultaneously
Automating short and long runs are also possible with CMZ lathes. Customers can reduce loading/unloading times thanks to the limitless automation solutions in the company’s Gantry Loader range which features a conversational programming system that minimises the amount of information the user needs to enter. There is a Gantry Loader for every production process: GL-6 — up to two workpieces of 3kg each; GL-20 — up to two workpieces of 10kg each; and GL-100 — up to two workpieces of 50kg each.
