United Machining through its laser brand, Charmilles, recently won the Green Impact Award at the
CECIMO Machine Tools Innovation event that took place during
EMO Hannover 2025 for its LASER S 500U laser texturing machine. The award recognises the machine’s sustainable and ground-breaking 3DShaping technology which delivers improved accuracies and repeatabilities, and increased process efficiencies and reliability while simultaneously reducing energy consumption and eliminating the use of consumables in micro-machining processing applications.
3DShaping technology helps reduce lead times, reduce environmental impacts and lowers production costs, demonstrating that advanced precision engineering can deliver high performance and environmental advantages. The award demonstrates Charmilles’ pioneering research and development in advanced, cutting-edge laser and micro-machining technologies used extensively, and increasingly, in the semi-conductor, medical device and micro-electronics industries.
