MACH Machine Tools, part of the
Vigilance Group and a well‑established supplier of CNC and manual machine tools and workshop equipment to manufacturers and educational institutions across the UK, Ireland, Europe and the USA, has expanded its product offering with the launch of a new range of DynaPath‑controlled CNC bed mills.
The two new models, the MACH MDM 700‑AR and MDM 1000‑AR, have been introduced to deliver high cutting performance, long‑term precision and robust reliability at ‘a highly competitive price’. The Vigilance Group’s managing director Dave Andrew said: “The cost will make your jaw drop and the guys in accounts smile!”
Both machines are equipped with BT40 spindles capable of 5,000rev/min, roller‑type linear guideways and generous worktables, with the larger MDM 1000‑AR offering a capacity of 1,525 x 350mm. Positional accuracy of 0.006mm and repeatability of 0.003mm underline their suitability for precision machining.
Furthermore, each machine is supplied with the latest DynaPath CNC system, which is fully integrated with MACH Machine Tools’ free, 24/7 Wi‑fi‑enabled ‘Remote-Assist’ service. This provides customers with remote applications and service support, alongside complimentary software updates for the lifetime of their machine.
A real game-changerMr Andrew described the service as “ground-breaking and a real game-changer”. He continued: the 20min maximum response time to customers’ queries means that downtime is kept to an absolute minimum, and this has proved to be a massive draw for customers.”
The DynaPath control offers both conversational and ISO/G‑code programming, making it suitable for programming directly on the shopfloor. It includes 64GB of onboard storage and a 10,000‑block look‑ahead to ensure fast processing, improved accuracy and better surface quality.
Additional functions include datum setting using alignment, sub‑program calling, macro programming, toolpath and 3D graphical simulation, programmable spindle control, DXF import with an onboard editor and a wide range of communications options, including Wi-fi. The MDM‑AR machines are equipped with a 15.6in touchscreen, manual pulse generator, air power drawbar and coolant system as standard.
