Nikon Corporation has expanded its industrial microscopy portfolio with the launch of three new Eclipse models: the LV150NA LED, LV150N LED and MA200 LED. The release strengthens the company’s range of inspection and analysis tools, following the introduction of the LV100N series in March 2025. The new microscopes incorporate a high colour‑rendering LED light source designed to improve brightness, colour accuracy and overall image quality, while significantly extending service life from 1,100hr to around 50,000hr.
The Eclipse LV150NA LED and LV150N LED upright microscopes are intended for reflected illumination and can be configured with a broad selection of accessories to suit different inspection requirements. The MA200 LED is an inverted model suited to the examination of industrial components and research applications. In the MA200 LED, Nikon has integrated the LED light source into the microscope stand to reduce footprint by around 100mm and improve space efficiency. The new models also build on Nikon’s long-standing approach to accessory compatibility. Users of previous-generation systems can transfer many existing accessories to the updated microscopes, supporting continuity and scalability across industrial workflows.
Nikon has also introduced a new digital microscope camera, the Digital Sight 100, released in December 2025. Designed for use with the full range of Nikon industrial and measuring microscopes, the camera supports high‑definition imaging, accurate colour reproduction and streamlined workflows when used with Nikon’s NIS‑Elements software platform. With the camera alone capable of delivering 17.7‑megapixel resolution and wide‑field imaging up to 4,864 × 3,648 pixels (FN25), users can capture fine structural detail and high‑fidelity colour information. When paired with industrial microscopes with FN16, it provides 6.5‑megapixel resolution at 2,944 × 2,208 pixels.
Connectivity has also been a major focus, with the Digital Sight 100 offering USB 3.2, HDMI, Wi‑Fi and Ethernet operation for flexible use across a range of devices and environments, including remote viewing and data sharing. Integration with Nikon’s NIS‑Elements LE software and upcoming versions of NIS‑Elements AR/BR/D (due for release in January 2026) is designed to simplify viewing, recording and information sharing while reducing operator workload.
Nikon has also highlighted the inclusion of NIS‑Elements LE with the latest Digital Sight 100. The software provides a streamlined platform for routine microscopy imaging on Windows PCs and tablets, supporting both USB and wireless configurations. It offers tools for camera control, calibration, overlays, annotation, measurement and image/video sharing, and is compatible with Nikon’s DS10, DS100 and DS1000 systems. The platform is designed to deliver a modern, flexible and user‑friendly workflow directly out of the box.
