FOBA Laser Marking + Engraving will use IMTS 2026 in Chicago to showcase a range of laser marking technologies designed to help manufacturers meet increasing demands for traceability, quality assurance and material-specific marking applications.
The company will exhibit at the International Manufacturing Technology Show, taking place from 14-19 September, where it will demonstrate several laser systems aimed at supporting industrial marking requirements across sectors including medical technology, automotive and electronics.
FOBA says its focus at this year's event will be on demonstrating how laser marking processes can be adapted to different materials and production environments while maintaining process stability and consistent marking quality.
Drawing on decades of application experience, the company supports manufacturers in selecting the most suitable marking technologies for challenging materials and complex production applications.
Among the highlights on the stand will be the debut of the new Y.0602 fibre laser system. The latest addition to FOBA's portfolio has been developed for flexible and efficient marking of metals and plastics in industrial manufacturing environments. The company says the system features a focus range of up to 99mm, enabling multi-level marking without the need to reposition components, making it particularly suitable for parts with complex geometries and varying surface heights.
FOBA will also demonstrate a UV laser integrated within its M1000 workstation. Designed for marking sensitive materials, the ultraviolet laser generates minimal heat input while delivering high-contrast marks. Applications include silicones, multi-coloured polyamides, TPE cables and transparent or coloured PVC hoses commonly used in medical and industrial products.
A further exhibit will feature an ultrashort pulse laser integrated into an M3000 workstation. According to FOBA, the combination of high pulse energy and extremely short pulse durations enables the production of deep black, permanent and non-reflective markings that remain visible regardless of viewing angle or light conditions. The company says the technology achieves these results while minimising the thermal impact on the material being processed.
By exhibiting multiple laser sources and workstation configurations, FOBA aims to demonstrate how different marking technologies can be matched to specific material characteristics, production requirements and quality standards.
The company also intends to highlight the growing importance of industrial laser marking in modern manufacturing.
