Suprafilt, a Rochdale-based design and engineering company, has won a £1 million contract to work on an upgrade of the town’s water system.
It will supply and install a new aeration system that will reduce the flow of ammonia into the river Roch.
Graeme Fielden, Sales Director at Suprafilt said: We are delighted to have been awarded the contract. We work nationally so it is nice to do something local and just around the corner. Hopefully it will be good for local businesses and the local community."
This contract follows a £2 million order for Suprafilt to supply a system for Liverpool’s waste-water works.
