Iconic Bridgeport mill returns

#MACH2014 MACH 2014 saw the return to the UK of the iconic Bridgeport turret mill. Demonstrated on the Engineering Technology Group’s Shop Hardinge stand (www
.engtechgroup.com), more than 370,000 of these machines have been sold over its 70-year history.

Work-holding and spares manager Rob Beckett said: “There is a demand for this highly versatile machine. Many sit in the corner of a workshop or tool-room, on hand to undertake a task that might involve quite a long set-up on other machines. They are also great in apprentice training areas, schools and colleges where basic skills can be taught.”
