Norvic Aero Engines, which is based in West Sussex but also has an engine shop in Cambridgeshire, has been acquired by Thames Valley Capital.
Specialising in the overhaul, repair and replacement of light-aircraft engine parts, the company has experience with a range of aircraft engines such as Lycoming, Continental, Franklin and Rolls-Royce.
Norvic came to the market in March 2014 because chief executive and majority shareholder Richard Boddie wanted to sell his entire shareholding in order to concentrate on other interests.
KBS Corporate, which advised on the deal, said that the opportunity generated “multiple expressions of interest” from both UK and international trade buyers, but the final deal was agreed with Dave Turner of private-equity group Thames Valley Capital.
