New drill offers universal cost- effectiveness

The new DC150 Perform solid-carbide drill from tooling manufacturer Walter GB Ltd, Bromsgrove (www.walter-tools.com), has been configured to offer high wear-resistance and good chip evacuation on all materials.

For producing holes up to 5xD without internal cooling (but with oil or emulsion), the drill features the WJ30TA carbide grade and has a 140deg point angle for high positioning accuracy.

The DC150 Perform is the latest addition to a range that includes drills for producing holes up to 12xD with internal cooling and 3xD without.

The new drills mean that Walter users now have 1,000 different size drills for all conventional drilling adapters.
