Sheffield-based Eclipse Magnetics has launched the Autofiltrex range of cost-effective and high-performance automated filters (available in three different sizes).
Featuring a magnetic reclaim unit, it is suitable for most ferrous-machining applications, such as grinding, honing, lapping, forming and quenching. The Autofiltrex was recently displayed at EMO in Hanover, where it generated high levels of interest and positive feedback.
Eclipse Magnetics sales and marketing director Steve McAllorum said: “Not only did we receive plenty of enquiries and
requests for more information, we also received a good amount of orders from manufacturers.
"The Autofiltrex is a great example of how an investment in magnetic technologies can improve efficiency in
automotive and other metal-finishing operations.”
The Autofiltrex range can be fitted in-line or off-line, ensuring 24/7 ‘ultra-polished’ fluids, and it is said to offer considerable advantages over traditional filter media, while its modular design allows additional units to be added to accommodate increased flow rates.
Offering sub-micron filtration, the Autofiltrex range delivers cleaner fluid to the machine.
As a ‘plug and play’ device, minimal set-up is required, and the system can be fully integrated with the machine tool’s CNC system.
