Star Micronics GB Ltd’s 2022 Open House, held last week, proved to be a resounding success for the Derby-based company. Making its UK premiere following its debut at
IMTS in Chicago, the new SD-26 Type S was the ‘Star’ of the show and received an unprecedented level of interest ahead of the first production model arriving in the UK next year.
Offering an insight into the next generation of precision manufacturing, Star and its technical partners demonstrated the very latest innovations and were pleased to secure several orders for machinery and ancillary equipment placed by new and existing customers.
Stephen Totty, Star GB’s managing director, said: “This year’s exceptionally well-attended open house continues the momentum of
MACH 2022 and has demonstrated how buoyant the manufacturing industry is in the UK and Ireland.
“While the world economy continues to face challenges, the visitors we welcomed throughout our Open House event displayed incredible positivity with ambitious plans to continue investing in the future of their businesses.
“We thank everyone who supported the event including the visitors who travelled from near and far to join us, our technical partners who showcased their latest developments and the Star team who worked tirelessly to make the event a success.
“After a record year, we look forward to the exciting times ahead in 2023 and we are proud to continue supporting our customers with sliding-head lathe technology.”
