Next generation of electrical steels on showCoiltech Italia 2025 opens tomorrow (17-18 September) at the Pordenone Exhibition Centre in Italy. At the event, ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products will be presenting its extensive portfolio of high-performance electrical steel solutions for industrial applications and the fast-growing e-mobility sector, together with its new dedicated services offering for customers.

Coiltech Italia is one of Europe’s premier events for the electrical manufacturing industry, and at the ArcelorMittal stand, visitors will have the chance to connect with our electrical steels team members, who bring extensive expertise in product development, technical and service customer support, market analysis and sales.

The ArcelorMittal team will be showcasing its latest developments in non-oriented electrical steels (NOES), notably its upgraded high polarisation grades, self-bonding varnish (SBV) coating solutions and its latest high-specification low-loss iCARe 420Save grades for e-traction.

Ahead of the event Charlotte Daugu, sales director of Electrical Steels, ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products, said: “Following our recent conversations with customers, we are ready to present developments and offering aligned with their needs, to deliver the innovation and efficiency required in the rapidly evolving electrical steel and e-mobility markets. The upcoming launch of our new electrical steels plant at Mardyck in France, alongside our existing Saint-Chély-d’Apcher facility, will significantly increase our electrical steels production capacity — delivering our customers greater capacity and certainty of supply, together with the deep technical expertise of our Global R&D and customers technical and service support teams.”

ArcelorMittal’s latest high polarisation grades with higher yield strength (e.g. M330P-50A and M470P-65A) have been designed for increased performance and efficiency in the motors and generators industry and are available now. Both conventional and rapid self-bonding varnishes are included in ArcelorMittal’s new production coating capabilities. With the development of the most complete range of grades ArcelorMittal will provide the highest added value for e-mobility and industry customers.

The next generation of iCARe 420Save grades will come onstream in 2026, extending down to 0.2mm gauge and offering the lowest magnetic loss combined with high strength. Besides the upgrade of its product portfolio, ArcelorMittal is reinforcing its position in the market, by completing and diversifying its global offer.

As emphasised by Eric Vasseur, technical and service director for Electrical Steels, ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products: “In addition to the new products, we will take the opportunity of the fair to present our new tailor-made services offering, which brings together a series of supply chain initiatives, focused on generating added value for our customers.”
