Don't miss the Innovations Gallery at Advanced EngineeringAdvanced Engineering is once again set to be the focal point for the UK’s engineering and manufacturing sectors tomorrow and Thursday (29-30 October), with this year’s event promising a compelling showcase of cutting-edge technologies. Taking place at the NEC Birmingham, the Innovations Gallery will bring together 14 pioneering solutions that are redefining the boundaries of productivity, sustainability and quality across industry.

Visitors will be immersed in a world where advanced materials, automation, artificial intelligence and robotics converge to shape the future of manufacturing. Among the standout exhibits will be Addyx’s Carbon Exoskeleton, a topology-optimised composite rib system that significantly enhances stiffness-to-weight, strength-to-weight and impact resistance ratios—an innovation poised to benefit aerospace and automotive sectors alike.

Matta Labs will present Blue, an AI-powered inspection system capable of self-learning anomaly detection. This intelligent platform offers manufacturers a transformative tool to reduce waste and improve quality from the outset. LATI UK will also be in the spotlight with its electrically conductive thermoplastics, designed to mitigate safety risks in explosive environments, alongside its LATISHIELD compounds that combine conductivity with electromagnetic shielding.

Rockwood Aerospace is set to unveil its precision propeller blades, engineered for lightweight, high-performance use in electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOLs) and drones. Hexagon will demonstrate its coordinate measurement systems, which support manufacturers of all sizes in enhancing quality assurance and inspection capabilities.

PRF Composite Materials will showcase two major developments: RP570 FR REEPREG, a fire-retardant recycled carbon fibre prepreg tailored for high-volume manufacturing, and Q.tool recycled, a sustainable tooling system that integrates recycled carbon and delivers substantial time-saving benefits.

RVmagnetics will introduce what it claims to be the world’s smallest passive custom sensor, enabling contactless measurement of physical quantities across sectors ranging from construction to biomedical applications.

Simon Farnfield, event director at Easyfairs, the organiser of Advanced Engineering, said: “These are just a few examples of the incredible innovations visitors will be able to see at the show. The Innovations Gallery brings together pioneering technologies from across the industry, offering a unique opportunity to explore the cutting edge of manufacturing all under one roof and in a dedicated section. To help visitors find them easily, every exhibitor featured in the gallery will also have a lightbulb icon displayed on their stand.”

Elsewhere on the show floor, Belotti ARC will demonstrate the first integrated automatic riveting cell, delivering high-speed, precision assembly for composite structures in aerospace and automotive applications. Meanwhile, Mapal will be introducing its upgraded UNIQ DReaM Chuck, which features hydraulic expansion technology for reaming and drilling with unmatched precision and adaptability.

With free visitor registration still open, Advanced Engineering 2025 promises to be a must-attend event for professionals seeking to stay ahead of the curve in manufacturing innovation. Registration details and further information can be found at the website: here.
