Yamazaki Mazak UK Ltd is set to showcase its latest breakthroughs in machine tool technology at
Southern Manufacturing & Electronics, 3-5 February 2026, as part of a stand dedicated to empowering sub-contractors to transform their machining capabilities. Exhibited for the first time in the UK will be the brand new Integrex j-200 NEO. This is the first Integrex model to be manufactured outside Japan with production now commencing at Mazak’s European Manufacturing Plant in Worcester.
Ideally suited to high-mix/low-volume manufacturing, Mazak’s new Integrex j-200 NEO offers a productivity upgrade for turreted lathe users looking to move beyond turning to integrated milling, drilling, and multi-faced machining operations. Alongside the Integrex j-200S NEO second spindle variant, it builds on the success of the original Mazak j-Series models first launched in 2010. The Integrex j-200 NEO now offers 0.0001deg indexing resolution on the B-axis as standard, enhancing the machine’s capabilities to produce precise angled features.
The Integrex j-200 NEO also features a new, compact milling spindle which uses a built-in Mazak spindle motor with increased power (18.5kW) and torque (59.7Nm) enabling it to support a broad range of materials and applications. Its compact nature also reduces workpiece interference while increasing the working envelope of the machine.
The main turning spindle, fitted with an 8in chuck, features a powerful 18.5kW, 326Nm built-in motor, with an integrated cooling circuit in the headstock, to deliver high material removal rates whilst achieving stable machining accuracy. With a 65mm diameter bar capacity and a 480mm dia maximum swing, the machine can be easily configured for both automated bar work and robot-fed components. The machine is available in 1,000 U bed length while the tailstock variant is available in 500 U bed length to deliver maximum return on investment from a minimal footprint.
Significantly reduced tooling costsThe machine benefits from a 36-tool magazine – with an option of increasing to 72 tools – which reduces set-ups while offering three-times the tool capacity of a turret lathe, in addition to significantly lower tooling costs compared to driven-tool holders.
Mazak’s stand at
Southern Manufacturing & Electronics will include a dedicated Solutions Centre desk, showcasing live demonstrations of the company’s latest digital innovations and service-driven technologies designed to help subcontractors optimise production processes. Visitors will also have the opportunity to engage directly with Mazak’s expert engineers, who will be on hand throughout the event to answer questions and provide tailored advice.
Jason Butler, sales director at Yamazaki Mazak UK, said: “Many sub-contractors are seeing their batch sizes come down while their mix of components is increasing. This presents a very different challenge to high volume work and needs a different machining strategy to stay competitive.
“Helping UK sub-contractors meet the demands of a high-mix/low-volume production schedule was one of the key drivers for the development of the Integrex j-200 NEO — our first Integrex machine manufactured outside of Japan. Importantly, building the machine here in the UK means we can offer it at an attractive investment with a very short lead time.
Southern Manufacturing is the perfect platform to introduce the Integrex j-200 NEO to the UK sub-contract market and we are excited to welcome visitors onto our stand.”
