Guhring’s stand D200 at
Southern Manufacturing 2026, which takes place 3-5 February at the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre, will be treated to an impressive showcase of cutting tool technology, with innovations spanning drilling, milling, threading, reaming and deburring. Among the headline attractions is the company’s RF 100 AL milling line, which has been engineered specifically for aluminium, non-ferrous metals and plastics.
The RF 100 AL series of solid carbide end mills is available in diameters from 0.5 to 25mm. The smaller RF 100 AL Micro has been designed to deliver cycle time reductions of up to 76% compared to conventional small end mills, while the standard RF 100 AL achieves a 30% increase in machining performance. Real-world data shows machining times reduced by 59% and tool life extended by 54%. Both variants incorporate Guhring’s ultra-thin Carbo+ coating, nano-polished round bevel support chamfer and the innovative GühroJet internal cooling system for optimal chip evacuation.
Available with either corner radius or corner chamfer configurations, the RF 100 AL Micro offers flexibility for end users by supporting ramping, slotting, trochoidal milling and plunging operations. Complementing this aluminium specialist, the RF 100 Sharp milling cutter represents Guhring’s sharpest cutting edge and is now available with corner radius options for enhanced versatility. This premium solid carbide end mill has been engineered to deliver exceptional surface finishes and precision across a wide range of materials.
Also on display will be Guhring’s latest drilling solutions, including the RT100 InoxPro drills and the ExclusiveLine micro-precision drill XL, capable of achieving drilling depths up to 30XD. The three-fluted FT 200 U represents a breakthrough in high-feed drilling technology, while the modular BT 800 interchangeable head drill system enables rapid head changes and extends overall tool life through replaceable cutting heads.
Threading innovations include the Energy tap, developed specifically for energy sector applications, and the XF fluteless tap, which produces dimensionally accurate threads in steel through material displacement rather than chip formation. The SC-TM-Z SP thread milling cutter impresses with its ability to complete an entire thread in just two passes, dramatically reducing programming complexity and cycle times.
Guhring will also present the HR 500 high-performance reamer, which achieves speeds up to 50-times faster than conventional reamers, revolutionising finishing operations. Supporting these cutting tools, the GÜHROSync tapping chuck features innovative clamping technology designed for thread tapping and forming operations, while the new 208 grooving system for sliding head machines delivers process reliability in grooving and parting off in the most confined spaces.
