Governed constant high speeds under load from 30,000 to 65,000rev/min with power ratings up to 0.55hp are easily added to any CNC with the 625 Series Spindle and are ideal for engraving, mould making, milling and finishing with small tools up to 1/8” (3mm) capacity. Utilising a patented direct-drive design with only two moving parts and optimised air circulation over bearings, these spindles operate 24/7 with no heat or thermal expansion and eliminate duty cycle limitations.
By increasing air flow volume to match cutting load, Air Turbine Technology’s governor-controlled turbine maintains constant rated speeds and torque under load, allowing users to cut faster and cleaner while extending tool life and ending frequent breakages of small tools.
The performance of the 625 Series Spindle therefore stands apart for its proven ability to accelerate cycle times and minimise tool breakage, while maintaining exceptional accuracy at 2µm TIR and vibration at just 0.4mm/s. This is completely different from nominal high speed coolant spindles that fade in cut and clog up with chips.
All that is required is a connection to 90psi compressed air. Full ATC is available on any CNC with air through the spindle or using the patented Air Turbine Technology collar and block.
By avoiding gears, vanes and brushes, the spindle’s design reduces friction and wear as well as eliminating heat. This reliable turbine direct drive dramatically reduces downtime as well as repair costs from friction and overheating.
Supported by a range of toolholder configurations including JS, HSK, CAT, BT and DIN, the 625 Series Spindle can be seamlessly integrated into any CNC machine magazine for automated, uninterrupted production.
The extra power 625X Series Spindle further boosts performance on any CNC with its patented double turbine delivering speeds up to 50,000rev/min and power of 0.76hp. This makes the 625X Series Spindle effective in demanding operations with larger tools or operations such as contouring and peck drilling in hard materials with tools up to 1/4” (6mm) capacity.
