Lantek to launch v46 software suite at EuroBLECH Lantek will use EuroBLECH 2026, running from 20-23 October to unveil Lantek v46, the latest version of its software portfolio for sheet metal, tube and structural steel manufacturers, with new capabilities aimed at increasing automation, strengthening machine connectivity and improving the flow of information across production operations.

The new release introduces enhancements spanning quotation, CAD/CAM programming, bending, machine monitoring and manufacturing execution, helping companies manage increasingly complex production environments more efficiently.

A key development within v46 is the latest evolution of Lantek's iQuoting software. The updated system includes a redesigned part import assistant capable of handling both individual 3D components and complete assemblies, while integrated feasibility rules assess whether parts can be manufactured using available technologies and production resources.

The company says the software brings manufacturing knowledge into the quotation process at an earlier stage, enabling users to better reflect their own production routes, resources and costing structures when estimating complex projects. Many of the new capabilities are supported by KAI, Lantek's artificial intelligence technology, which analyses manufacturing information, interprets design data and automates decision-making during the quotation process.

Lantek has also expanded the capabilities of its Expert programming software, particularly for punching and combined punch-cut applications. New functions are designed to simplify programming for both individual parts and complete nests while supporting more advanced machining strategies.

One of the most significant additions is the extension of Lantek's Nesting Optimisation Service (NOS) to punching machines. Previously restricted to cutting technologies, the optimisation engine can now be applied to punching operations, helping manufacturers improve material utilisation across a broader range of sheet metal processes.

Automation is another major focus of the new release. A redesigned version of Stackmaster provides a more intuitive palletising programming environment integrated directly within Lantek Expert, while new developments for automated storage systems are intended to improve coordination between cutting machines, warehouses and MES-controlled production workflows.

For tube and structural steel manufacturers, Lantek Flex3D v46 introduces a new module for creating tube-to-tube connections directly within 3D assemblies using a library of parametric joint designs. The software also gains the ability to automatically unbend bent tubes during 3D file import, generating the developed geometry required for downstream cutting operations.

Lantek has further strengthened its integration capabilities with the addition of connectivity to Tekla PowerFab. Alongside the existing StruMIS MRP Connector, the new integration allows structural steel fabricators greater flexibility when linking production management systems with Lantek's programming environment.

The latest version also provides closer integration between Lantek Bend and MES workflows. Manufacturers can now calculate and retain alternative bending solutions for different press brakes, allowing production teams to make machine allocation decisions closer to the point of manufacture while retaining validated tooling and process information.

Beyond programming and production planning, Lantek has expanded machine connectivity across the workshop. Support has been extended beyond cutting equipment to include press brakes and other CNC machines, while the company's Control Panel has been redesigned to provide clearer visualisation of machine status and real-time production data.

According to Lantek, the broader connectivity strategy supports improved shopfloor visibility, more accurate performance monitoring and enhanced OEE calculations across multi-vendor manufacturing environments.

The company says the developments introduced in Lantek v46 share a common objective: expanding automation, improving integration and connecting more technologies throughout the manufacturing process to support smarter and more flexible production.

EuroBlech 2026 runs from 20-23 October at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover.
