ENCY launches ‘Digital Machine Center’

ENCY launches ‘Digital Machine Center’ ENCY Software has launched its new Digital Machine Center (DMC), a searchable catalogue designed to help CAM programmers find machine-specific postprocessors, simulation models and related resources more quickly when preparing NC programs.

Introduced as part of ENCY 3.0, the platform is available both within the ENCY CAM environment and through a web interface. The company says the new resource aims to simplify the process of matching software tools to specific machine configurations, reducing the time required to prepare machining operations.

Users can search for postprocessors and machine schemas by machine tool or CNC control name, while filters covering machine manufacturer, control supplier, machine type and axis count help refine results. Technical specifications are provided for each entry, enabling programmers to determine whether a resource matches their machine configuration and what level of customisation may be required.

At launch, the catalogue contains 596 machine schemas, 237 postprocessors, six NC-code interpreters and five Digital Machine Kits, giving users access to more than 800 resources. Available machine models include the DMG MORI DMU 70 eVo, DN Solutions PUMA 2100 LSY, Mazak Integrex 200-3 S, Okuma GENOS L3000-e, Hurco VMX60SRTi and Tormach 770MX. Haas machine tools are also well represented, including multiple rotary-table configurations.

According to ENCY, the platform has been developed to address the complexity of modern multi-axis machining, where machine names alone do not provide sufficient information to ensure compatibility. Factors such as kinematics, auxiliary equipment and CNC control specifications can all affect programming and simulation requirements.

The catalogue includes individual postprocessors, machine schemas and NC-code interpreters, as well as Digital Machine Kits that combine a postprocessor and machine model in a single package. Examples already available include kits for the DMG MORI DMU 80FD equipped with a Siemens SINUMERIK 840D control and the Hwacheon Vesta 1000 with a FANUC 0i-MD control.

Where a required resource is not available, users can submit requests for new postprocessors or machine models, providing a route for expanding the catalogue in line with customer demand.
ENCY also says it plans to expand the platform beyond its own content. The company intends to allow machine tool dealers and specialist developers to publish their own postprocessors and machine models, creating a marketplace through which they can offer these resources to ENCY users worldwide.

The company says this approach will enable dealers to generate additional value from their expertise in postprocessor and machine model development, while giving users access to a wider range of machine-specific resources from specialists working across different industrial sectors and geographic markets.

Access to the full Digital Machine Center catalogue is included for ENCY users with active software maintenance agreements, while trial users and customers without active maintenance can access the content on a trial basis.
