New and upgraded machines from Doosan Fresh from its successful 9th DIMF in-house exhibition, where 63 new and upgraded machine tools were shown to more than 3,000 visitors, South Korea’s Doosan Infracore Co Ltd will be exhibiting 24 machine tools on its 1,620m2 stand (Hall 27 Stand B39). Doosan machines are sold in the UK and Ireland exclusively by Mills CNC Ltd, Leamington Spa (www.millscnc.co.uk).

The machines being exhibited include the new DNM 200 5AX five-axis machining centre, the new NHP 8000 horizontal machining centre, the ever-popular and upgraded Mynx 7500/50 (box guide-way machine), and DNM 650 vertical machining centres. Doosan will also be showing a horizontal boring machine — the DBC 130 — that features a 26/30kW 2,500rev/min spindle. A new range of high-productivity Lynx lathes with integrated Y axis will be represented by the Lynx 220 LSYA (sub-spindle) and the Lynx 220 LYC, which are both making their debuts.

These machines will be complemented by the new universal, all-purpose Puma GT 2100M lathe. Other turning highlights include the large-capacity Puma 700LY; the Puma 2600SLY (with 10in chuck, sub-spindle and Y axis) and the Puma 3100ULY (a long-bed lathe with 12in chuck, driven tools and Y axis).

However, Mills CNC’s managing director, Nick Frampton, says no Doosan international event would be complete without models from the company’s range of multi-axis turning centres, so Doosan will also be exhibiting its new MX 1600ST and MX 2600ST mill-turn machines, plus the upgraded TT 1800SY — a twin-turret twin-spindle turning centre.

Completing the new machine line-up will be Doosan’s new seven-axis Puma ST20G and ST32G sliding-head lathes, which feature Fanuc’s 31iB control and are designed for the ultra-productive machining of small turned parts.
