Registration is now open for
Colchester Machine Tool Solutions’ annual Open House taking place on 4-5 November 2025 at its European Technology Centre in Elland, West Yorkshire. The event’s theme is “Manual to CNC: Your Path to Smarter Machining” and will feature two days of live demonstrations, workshops, and expert insight and provide a perfect opportunity for visitors to talk directly to the company’s engineers and applications specialists about the machining challenges they have.
This year, Colchester Machine Tool Solutions celebrates 30 years of Harrison Alpha CNC/manual combination lathes — machines that have transformed workshops worldwide by bridging the gap between conventional turning and CNC machining.
The Harrison Alpha XS & XC machine range is powered by the innovative Alpha Control System, built on the globally trusted Fanuc 0i-TF Plus CNC platform. With this, the Alpha delivers industry-leading flexibility, productivity, and operator confidence — all in one machine.

Visitors to the Open House will learn how the Alpha range can cut costs, boost productivity, and will give customers a competitive edge – whether for one-off jobs or batch production. Colchester’s full machine range will also be on show, including Tornado CNC turning centres, Storm vertical machining centres, Bridgeport five-axis vertical machining centres, manual centre lathes, turret mills and Lightning laser markers.
Spaces are limited so Colchester Machine Tool Solutions urges prospective visitors to secure their place today via the website and ‘take the next step towards smarter, more productive machining’.
