Following the successful completion of
EMO Hannover 2025 at the end of last month, the world-leading exhibition dedicated to the metalworking sector is set to take place in Italy in 2027. The announcement, made during the traditional
Ucimu-Sistemi Per Produrre press conference at
EMO Hannover, confirms that Milan will once again host the global showcase from 4-8 October 2027 at the
Fiera Milano Exhibition Centre.
The organisation of
EMO Milano 2027 is entrusted to Ucimu-Sistemi Per Produrre, the association representing Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots, and automation systems. Promoted by
CECIMO, the European Association of Manufacturing Technologies, and organised by
EFIM Ente Fiere Italiane Macchine, the event alternates between Hannover and Milan, returning to Italy after a six-year cycle.
Despite the challenges of the pandemic,
EMO Milano 2021 attracted 60,000 qualified operators from countries that permitted international travel, re-affirming Milan’s appeal as a strategic and well-connected destination. Furthermore, the 2015 edition remains a benchmark, having set records in both participation and exhibition space.
Focus on sustainabilityEMO Milano 2027 promises to be a content-rich edition, themed as a “journey to the centre of innovation”. The exhibition will showcase the full spectrum of international offerings in the sector — metalcutting and forming machine tools, robotics, automation, additive manufacturing, digital solutions, and artificial intelligence. These technologies are central to the sustainable development of the planet, a theme that will be extensively explored throughout the event.
Given Milan’s industrial momentum and growing global attractiveness, organisers anticipate a sell-out edition. All 12 halls of Fiera Milano have been reserved, and from September 2025, a dedicated hospitality service will be available to support accommodation bookings.
