Titan Manufacturing, a precision engineering and fabrication specialist, has announced a £200,000 investment in new equipment as part of ongoing expansion under its new owners. The upgrade includes the installation of a Randex compact vertical lift, designed to improve efficiency, precision, and working conditions across the company’s sheet metal, fabrication, and coating operations.
The Randex system enables faster, safer, and more accurate stock handling in a fraction of the space traditionally required. Its rack-and-pinion drive mechanism ensures stable movement and precise positioning, significantly improving workflow and productivity on the factory floor.
This investment follows a period of rapid growth for Titan Manufacturing, which has expanded into two purpose-built production workshops, added new machinery, and developed a fully integrated start-to-finish production process. Customers now benefit from a complete service, from design and fabrication to coating and finishing.
Alongside technological upgrades, the manufacturing continues to invest in people. The business now employs over 20 staff, including two apprentices, reflecting its commitment to developing the next generation of skilled engineers and fabricators.
High-quality manufacturingManaging director Ryan Hanger said: “This investment represents our commitment to building Titan Manufacturing into one of the South’s most capable and efficient engineering facilities. Our focus on apprenticeships, staff development, and equipment is all part of our plan to grow sustainably and put Weymouth on the map for high-quality manufacturing.
“The Randex system is a great example — it allows us to increase output and precision while improving safety and working conditions for our team. These are the kind of advancements that will help us continue attracting new clients and delivering to the highest standards.”
As part of its long-term strategy, Titan Manufacturing is working towards ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) accreditations, international standards that recognise excellence in manufacturing processes and quality control. These credentials will open the door to more complex, high-value contracts, particularly within the defence and aerospace sectors.
Specialising in sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, laser profile cutting, and surface finishing, the company combines over 25 years of staff experience to deliver precision solutions for customers across the defence, medical, food, and industrial sectors. The company continues to drive investment, innovation, and skilled employment in Weymouth and across Dorset, demonstrating the region’s growing role in the future of British manufacturing.
