Pioneering additive manufacturing (AM) specialist
AMufacture is joining forces with global technology leader
HP to showcase the latest advances in 3-D printing at an Open House and Demo Day taking place at its facility in Portsmouth on 20 January, from 10am to 3pm.
Founded in 2018 by Craig Pyser and Will Howden, AMufacture has grown rapidly to become a leading contract manufacturer in the AM sector. Mr Pyser said: “We are delighted to be teaming up with our friends at HP Additive Manufacturing Solutions for this special Open House which will showcase how AM now has true production capability and can deliver parts at scale and with consistency, quality and speed. Nine out of 10 parts which leave our headquarters are now destined for end-use rather than as a prototype, and the industry has huge potential as it continues to develop at pace.”
The event will include live HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) demonstrations, technical workshops, real case studies and breakout discussions on security, scanning, materials, manufacturing, post-processing and quality control, as well as networking opportunities with industry professionals.
François Minec, vice president and global head of sales and business development at HP Additive Manufacturing Solutions, said: “As AM is rapidly evolving, the Open House will provide an excellent opportunity to explore the latest developments and will be a valuable day for anyone interested in seeing how AM can transform their business and deliver high quality, industrial, production-scale manufacturing.”
AMufacture was the first UK company to operate the HP 5420 White 3-D printer and specialises in HP MJF technology. Backed by investment from Maven Capital and Turner, the company has increased its manufacturing capacity seven-fold in the past two years and is now targeting further growth in the UK and abroad.
